The mission of the Gay Men's Chorus of South Florida is "Inspiring through Song; opening minds and changing hearts through the power of music." The Chorus has become one of the region’s largest and most successful community-based choruses celebrated for outstanding musicianship, creative programming, and community outreach. Each year GMCSF reaches over 19,000 audience members with its messages of love and inclusion.
The LGBTQ Welcome Center opened in June 2014 in St. Petersburg’s Grand Central District. Only the third in the nation. As a function of Metro Wellness and Community Centers serves the area as an LGBTQ visitors’ resource, coffee house, youth center (safe space), and provides a wide range of business resources, education activities, and entertainment events.
