Our Mission is to offer therapeutic services to survivors of sexual trauma and provide education on prevention strategies and trauma to the larger community. We provide specific LGBTQIA sexual trauma support groups and services.

The mission of the Institute for LGBT Health and Wellbeing is to serve as a conduit for education, wellness, training, and research. We are a registered 501(c)3 public charity with the IRS and rely on grant funding and support from the community to advance the mission of the Institute. Our mission reflects our commitment to the local LBGT community. We aspire to expand and offer more free services, a drop-in center for LGBT youth, a cafe, food pantry, clothing center, scholarships/grants for trans affirming surgical needs, and therapeutic camp for LGBT youth.
The LGBTQ Welcome Center opened in June 2014 in St. Petersburg’s Grand Central District. Only the third in the nation. As a function of Metro Wellness and Community Centers serves the area as an LGBTQ visitors’ resource, coffee house, youth center (safe space), and provides a wide range of business resources, education activities, and entertainment events.
The LGBTQ Welcome Center offers an important community service to all that live, work and visit St. Petersburg, FL and surrounding areas by providing information on areas of interest, where to stay, shop, dine and more.

We're focused on winning educational, racial, restorative and reproductive
justice (including LGBT rights) in the schools and community and that we
organize young people to be the leaders of change when fighting to
dismantle systems of oppression.
You can also say that we have weekly youth membership meetings every
Wednesday from 5 to 7pm, ages 13-22 where youth gain political and
leadership development skills. And we will soon be having adult membership
meetings.
