The mission of the First Unitarian Church of Orlando ("1U") is to exemplify liberal religion in Central Florida with a commitment to lifelong spiritual growth and compassionate service to the community. As a welcoming congrgation we have been performing same-sex union and wedding ceremonies for over 20 years. Our members are dedicated to promoting social justice and putting our Unitarian Universalist values into action. Many of our efforts have focused on LGBTQ issues, Black Lives Matter, farmworkers and fare food, economic justice, Planned Parenthood and reproductive jusice, climate change and sustainability, and voting rights.
